About my practice
I practice therapy with queer and trans people in Metro Detroit/Southeast Michigan who are struggling with relationship issues, painful memories, and self-criticism. I often work with emerging adults who place emphasis on achieving accomplishments, though feel discontent with their life and relationships.
My therapuetic style is eclectic and person centered. I primarily practice from a relational and psychodynamic stance, paying particular attention to attachment patterns and somatic sensations. Former clients have described my style as thoughtful, attentive, and direct.
My therapy style
-
Psychodynamic
I’m interested in hearing about formative experiences from your childhood and understanding how they impact your current life.
-
Relational
How we relate to each other in the therapuetic relationship can offer insight into how you relate to people outside of therapy as well. I welcome conversation about how working together feels.
-
Somatic
Our bodies offer us a wealth of information! I will invite us to slow down in conversation and practice tuning into what emotions might be showing up in body-based sensations.
